Something BIG is buzzing at Syracuse Elementaryâand itâs our House System!
Our House System is all about creating connections that reach far beyond the walls of a classroom. Students in kindergarten through sixth grade are part of a house made up of students and staff from across our entire school. This means our youngest Stingers have older students cheering them on, older students have opportunities to lead and encourage, and our employees get to build relationships with students they may not see every day.
But the best part? We have FUN together!
Each month, our houses come together for special House Events designed to build friendships, strengthen teamwork, celebrate our successes, andâmost importantlyâcreate that feeling of âThese are my people!â As the year goes on, we hope to see houses become more than a group of students with the same color or name. We want them to become a true house family that looks out for one another, celebrates together, and makes sure everyone feels like they belong.
And of course, we LOVE showing our house pride! Every Friday is House Shirt Day, when students and staff can proudly wear their house shirts. Then come our Super Spirit Days, when we take it ALL the way! đ Students and staff can deck themselves out from head to toe in their house colors and gear, including appropriate house-themed swag, accessories, and anything else that helps show their Stinger spirit.
You might see a kindergarten student high-fiving a sixth grader, teachers cheering alongside students, or an entire house celebrating a teammateâs success. Those are the moments that make the House System so special.
Our goal is simple: build relationships, create belonging, and bring our entire Kâ6 Stinger family together.
Because at Syracuse Elementary, we aren't just different classrooms and grade levels.
We are one school. We are one HIVE. And we are one House family! đđđ¤
